Mayburg
Once a bustling industrial hub for the Wheeler & Dusenbury lumber empire, Mayburg is now a peaceful "ghost town" site along the banks of the Tionesta Creek. In its prime, it was a vital stop on the Tionesta Valley Railroad, filled with sawmills and chemical plants. Today, it serves as a quiet access point for paddlers and anglers, featuring a historic bridge and offering a serene atmosphere where nature has largely reclaimed the remnants of its industrial past.
