Bradford

Bradford was the site of the first commercial oil well in 1871 and briefly served as a global financial center for the industry. In 1932, George Blaisdell founded the Zippo Manufacturing Company here, and the Zippo/Case Museum remains the city’s top cultural landmark. The city is home to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and serves as the northern anchor for the Allegheny National Forest, providing easy access to the Marilla Reservoir trail system and the Tuna Valley Trail.
