Timberdoodle Flats

Timberdoodle Flats is a specialized interpretive trail designed to showcase the habitat of the American Woodcock, affectionately known as the "Timberdoodle." This 1.4-mile trail system winds through various stages of forest succession, from open meadows to dense young hardwoods, illustrating how forest management supports diverse wildlife. It is an excellent educational site for families, featuring bird-blind views and signage that explains the unique "sky dance" of the Woodcock.
