Quaker Run Valley

A historic valley settled by Quaker missionaries.

The Quaker Run Valley is named for the Quaker missionaries who established missions for the Seneca people in the late 1700s. The valley is now home to Quaker Lake and extensive camping facilities within Allegany State Park. It is characterized by its broad, scenic floodplains and its role as a peaceful gateway to the park’s southern wilderness.
