Little Drummer Historical Pathway

The Little Drummer Historical Pathway is a scenic 2-mile interpretive loop designed to showcase the habitat of the Ruffed Grouse, Pennsylvania’s state bird. Named for the distinct "drumming" sound made by the male grouse during mating season, the trail winds through varied forest stages, including clearings and dense young hardwoods. It is an excellent destination for birdwatchers and families, offering a gentle hike through a landscape managed specifically to support the diverse wildlife of the Allegheny Plateau.
