English Tire

English Tire is a legendary local landmark and a critical trail junction in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest’s motorized and non-motorized networks. While its name originates from a literal tire once left as a marker by early forest travelers, it has evolved into a well-known waypoint for hunters, hikers, and snowmobilers. The site serves as a symbolic "crossroads" of the forest, where multiple forest roads and trails converge, representing the long-standing tradition of community navigation and the shared history of those who work and play in the ANF interior.
