The Drake Well Museum & Park marks the exact spot where Edwin L. Drake drilled the world's first commercially successful oil well, forever changing the course of global history. The museum features a full-scale working replica of the original engine house and derrick, along with extensive indoor exhibits that chronicle the technical and social impact of the 1859 oil discovery. Situated along the banks of Oil Creek, the park serves as the northern terminus of the Oil Creek State Park trail system and remains a cornerstone of American industrial heritage.
