Drake Well Museum & Park

The Drake Well Museum & Park marks the exact spot where Edwin L. Drake drilled the world's first commercially successful oil well, forever changing the course of global history. The museum features a full-scale working replica of the original engine house and derrick, along with extensive indoor exhibits that chronicle the technical and social impact of the 1859 oil discovery.
