Cornplanter Tract
The final ancestral lands of Chief Cornplanter.
The Cornplanter Tract was the only land in Pennsylvania ever granted to a Native American in perpetuity. It served as the residence of the Seneca leader Chief Cornplanter and his descendants until it was partially submerged by the Allegheny Reservoir. The site remains a sacred area for the Seneca Nation and a symbol of their resilience and heritage.
