Chapman State Park

Quiet lake, beach, and four-season recreation.

Opened in 1951, Chapman State Park was the vision of State Senator Leroy Chapman, who sought to create a recreational oasis for Warren County. The park is centered on the 68-acre Chapman Lake, which provides a sandy beach for swimming and a calm environment for non-motorized boating. Surrounded by the Allegheny National Forest and State Game Lands 29, the park serves as a vital four-season trailhead for hikers, cross-country skiers, and snowmobilers exploring the West Branch of Tionesta Creek.
