Buckaloons Trail
Interpretive walking path through Seneca heritage lands.
The Buckaloons Trail is an easy 1-mile loop located at the confluence of the Allegheny River and Brokenstraw Creek. The trail features interpretive signs detailing the history of the Seneca village of "Buckaloons" and the ecological importance of the river islands. It is one of the best spots in the forest for viewing bald eagles and understanding the region's indigenous past.
